Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
